The existing buildings of the Institut für Gravitationsphysik have been connected by the new glass-atrium. The structure couples the buildings on several levels. All facades, vertical and horizontal are glass claddings that have a spanned steel substructure. The bridges between the buildings on the first and second floor are unsupported steel structures with glass breastworks. The roof structure is placed upon the attic of the existing buildings. The implemented structure is an extremly filigree and aesthetically ambitious solution that unites both quality and efficiency.
