The GSI is a solid construction office building with an integrated canteen area. It is divided in the base that contains the canteen and the dining room and the three storey office tracts above.
Two thirds of the 80 x 25m ground floor are built with an underground floor that stands about 3 m deep in pressing water. The ground floor houses the canteen with the dining room, the serving counter and the kitchen. The underground floor holds additional spaces for the canteen and the central building services.
In the middle of the building and in the eastern part the two office wings are set upon the base. They are connected by the smaller northern wing that houses the conference rooms.
The supporting structure is built as reinforced concrete column grid with an 8 m intercolumniation. Subordinate walls are built in masonry. The floors are built as 30 cm thick extensive point based, beamless slabs.
